Teton Meditation

It was a cold morning at dawn as I stood at the side of the lake outside the lodge at Grand Teton National Park.  I was setting up my shot, my fingers hurting in the cold.  Just as the sun’s first light was apparent, I saw a woman walk to the edge of the lake and sit down to watch the sunrise illuminate the peaks.  I took the shot, and no more than a minute later a man carrying construction items walked up and stood behind her to watch, which took the Zen right out of the scene.
